Information about my research for making the general education classroom more equitable for students with emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD) by better preparing educators through providing them with the training, support, and resources that they need to successfully include and educate students with EBD. These action steps can be replicated to improve the preparedness and effectiveness of educators for inclusive classrooms.

Anti-Bias Educational Resources

  • Anti-bias resources are books, activities, and materials that are used to challenge prejudices against race, gender, sexual orientation, culture, religion, age, ability, and other forms of discrimination. Anti-bias is an activist approach to educate others about the harmful effects of discrimination and how they can counter it.

Social Emotional Learning Resources

  • Social emotional learning resources help students develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions.
